Welcome! I am a licensed psychologist and the owner of Sage Psychology. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Brigham Young University and have conducted research on eating disorders at Center for Change, an inpatient eating disorder treatment center. My clinical experience spans university counseling centers, private practices, and psychiatric clinics. I currently provide individual and couples therapy for adults, addressing a variety of concerns.
As a clinician, I strive to create an egalitarian relationship and deeply value individual agency. I incorporate a feminist perspective which examines the societal, cultural, and political factors that impact the lives of clients. I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative and intentional. My approach prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship while using research based practices. Some modalities I draw from include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relational-cultural therapy (RCT), and emotion focused therapy (EFT). I am dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment to individuals of all races, gender identities, sexual orientations, and faith backgrounds.
